This delicious coffee comes from the northern Colombian region of Bucaramanga, one of the oldest coffee producing regions in Colombia. The coffee is grown at lower altitudes (1,200-1,700m), similar to those produced in Central America. Lower altitudes result in higher temperatures and drier conditions exposing the coffee bush to solar radiation. As a result, farmers protect the coffee by growing it amongst forest-like vegetation with plantain trees and canopy trees above. This technique has produced lower acidity coffees with fuller body.
